Pakistani gamers are calling to ban the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority following high packet loss issues in different online games. The country’s gaming community is facing the high packet loss issues after PTA introduced its new Web Monitoring System (WMS).
The WMS was specifically introduced to curtail grey traffic. As per a report, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Voice over IP (VoIP) services are being considered as grey traffic and are re-routed through the newly implemented WMS. The high packet loss occur due to PTA blocking the source IP which carries such traffic.
Gaming enthusiasts have been hit badly by the Web Monitoring System as high ping in PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG), Fortnite, DOTA, Call of Duty and Valorant makes it impossible to play.
Now, after the complete ignorance by PTA to address the issues faced by gamers due to WMS, the gaming community has taken to twitter in an effort to make their voices heard
