The CPEC Authority recently launched a China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Paid Internship Program to provide opportunities to Pakistan’s talented youth to develop skills and have experience in various fields.
The CPEC Authority Chairperson Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa announced the launch of a three-month CPEC paid internship program aimed at human and social development.

In a series of tweets, Bajwa said the program offers the youth an opportunity to develop skills and experiences that would allow Pakistan to grow and prosper in the future. Meanwhile, the applications to join the program are now opened.

More good news for Pakistani – China to launch more scholarships & internship programs
Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing has said that thousands of jobs would be available soon for Pakistani skilled workforce as many Chinese companies were waiting for investment in Gawadar.
He announced it during a meeting with Federal Minister for Education & Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood last week, according to the CPEC Portal.
Yao Jing said, “90 percent of labor for CPEC projects will be local and for the training of engineers. We will jointly launch various scholarship programs.”
The Chinese official also mentioned that three Pakistani engineers would be associated with one Chinese engineer for these projects.
According to Yao Jing, “20,000 scholarships and 1500 short internship programs to Pakistani workforce are in pipeline. These programs will be started once COVID-19 is over.”
The CPEC project has already created some 60,000 jobs in Pakistan. Meanwhile, 20,000 scholarships and 1500 internships will be golden opportunities for Pakistanis willing to become a part of the CPEC.
